Is Share Market Closed On December 25, Christmas?

In observance of Christmas, domestic financial markets will remain closed on Monday, December 25, with trading set to resume on Tuesday, December 26. The closure marks the final trading holiday for the year.

Trading across cash, derivatives, securities, and lending and borrowing segments will be suspended on December 25, resuming the following day.

Markets On Friday, December 22: The benchmark, Nifty 50 and Sensex, sustained their upward momentum. Information technology (IT) and auto stocks drove the rally, resulting in a 0.44% gain for Nifty50, closing at 21,349.4, and a 0.34% increase for Sensex, finishing at 71,106.96. The markets look all set to end the year on a high.
