BPCL Leads Gainers As Markets Comeback Strong After Wednesday Sell-Off

In Thursday’s trading session, the Nifty 50 index saw a mix of highs and lows. Notably, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) emerged as the top gainer, while Bajaj Auto Ltd faced the most significant dip.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation saw its stock price increase by 2.30%, closing at ₹449.55. The company had ended its previous trading day at ₹439.45.

Following BPCL in the gainers’ list, Power Grid Corporation of India experienced a 2.29% rise in its stock price, closing at ₹232.35. The PSU stock had previously closed at ₹227.15. The third top gainer, Britannia Industries, marked a 2.11% increase in its stock value, ending the trading day at ₹5,059.60.

Next, HDFC Bank saw a 1.79% increase in its stock price, closing the day at ₹1686.70. Lastly, Hindalco Industries registered a 1.47% gain, finishing the trading day at ₹556.25.

On the other side of the spectrum, Bajaj Auto Ltd witnessed the most significant fall in its stock price, with a 1.86% decrease, closing at ₹6,246.35. The company had previously concluded its trading day at ₹6364.45.

Axis Bank also saw a dip of 1.34% in its stock price, ending the trading day at ₹1095.40. Next, HCLTech experienced a 1.24% decrease in its stock value, closing at ₹1,422.05.
