Railway Stock Jumps 13% To Lead Nifty 500 Gainers

On Monday, the NIFTY 500 index saw some interesting movements. Among the top performers, the stocks that stood out were IRCTC and BDL. Both stocks registered impressive gains compared to their previous close.

IRCTC was the star performer, with a significant jump of 12.59% in its stock price. The shares closed at ₹879.15, a sharp increase from the last close of ₹780.85.

BDL followed closely behind with a gain of 9.88%, closing at ₹1,529.25, up from its last closing price of ₹1,391.75. The stock saw a strong uptick, marking it as another top gainer of the day.

Another stock that fared well was TeamLease, which closed at ₹2,925.95, an increase of 8.03% from its last close of ₹2,708.55. Both TTML and Prince Pipes and Fittings also made substantial gains, with increases of 7.02% and 6.47% respectively.

However, not all stocks enjoyed a positive run. The list of bottom performers was led by Union Bank of India, which saw a dip of 4.05% to close at ₹123.10. Losses were also registered by Swan Energy (-3.80%), SJVN (-3.22%), Godrej Properties (-3.08%), and ACI (-2.99%).
