According to media reports, the unidentified individuals caused a ruckus by leaping over benches inside the chamber.
The Congress Leader in the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, drew attention to the gravity of the security lapse. He described how the intruders not only disrupted proceedings but also threw an object that released gas.
Following the incident, the Lok Sabha was adjourned. Chowdhury noted the significance of the breach happening on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack.
This event has raised serious questions about the effectiveness of security measures at the Parliament, with calls for a comprehensive review to ensure the safety of the nation’s democratic institutions.
