Rohit Sethia found a unique way to stand out among job applicants applying for a job at Swiggy. To strengthen his bid for a copywriter role at the food delivery giant, Sethia created a pitch deck on all the reasons the company should hire him.

One of the reasons included was that he wasn’t following Zomato – Swiggy’s biggest competitor – but has started following just now, to get insights about the competition. Another reason he cited was that he was funny, because his mother said so. The entire 11-page presentation was filled with such quirky and witty lines.

The post on LinkedIn now has over 2,700 likes and around 200 comments. Several people were impressed by the post and wished Sethia the best and hoped he landed the job. The post also caught the attention of the Swiggy recruiter, who had originally posted about the vacancies. “Someone knew how to stand out from hundreds of applicants. We have heard you Rohit and we’ll get back to you,” she commented on the post.
