Hero Motocorp Partners With Ather Energy To Offer 'World's First Interoperable Fast-Charging Network'

The world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, has joined hands with Ather Energy to establish an interoperable fast-charging network for electric vehicles (EVs) in India.

What Happened: The partnership, unveiled on Wednesday, aims to enable EV users to utilize both VIDA and Ather Grids across India, spanning 100 cities and comprising over 1,900 fast-charging stations. The initiative, capitalizing on the recently sanctioned Light Electric Combined Charging System (LECCS) by the Bureau of Indian Standards, is set to create the largest EV charging ecosystem in the country and the world’s first interoperable fast-charging network for EV two-wheelers.

The interoperability feature will empower customers to identify compatible locations, locate their nearest charging station, check its availability, and navigate to the station via the "My VIDA" and Ather App. The partnership aims to accelerate EV adoption by offering a seamless and convenient ownership experience.
