Indian equities closed on a mixed note this week, with TV18 Broadcast Ltd. and Power Finance Corporation leading the gains in the NIFTY 500 index on Friday, while Whirlpool of India and The New India Assurance Co. lagged behind.

TV18 Broadcast Ltd. emerged as the top performer, jumping 11.37% to close at ₹48.0 from its last close of ₹43.10. The media conglomerate posted impressive gains amidst market volatility.

Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd. recorded an 8% increase in its stock price, closing at ₹5,951.65. The electronics manufacturer continued its upward trajectory, contributing to the overall positive sentiment.

In contrast, Whirlpool of India led the list of bottom performers with a sharp dip of 9.88% in its stock price, closing at ₹1,416. This comes as a significant setback for the home appliances giant.

The New India Assurance Co., following closely behind, saw a decline of 9.38% in its stock price, closing at ₹231.25. The state-owned insurance company's performance was weighed down amidst the mixed market sentiment.

Other notable performers included Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd. and Varroc Engineering Ltd. in the top gainers, while General Insurance Corporation of India and Ashok Leyland Ltd. featured in the list of biggest losers.
