Samsung is gearing up to make a splash in the Indian smartphone market with its Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has just been greenlit by the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) for its India launch. This powerhouse of a phone, model number SM-S928B/DS, is set to debut alongside its siblings, the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, early next year.
What to know? The BIS certification doesn’t spill the beans on the phone’s specs or design, but let’s just say the rumour mill has been buzzing. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to boast a 6.8-inch WQHD+ display, complete with a silky-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup sounds like a photographer’s dream: a whopping 200MP 1/1.3-inch primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 10MP 3x telephoto, and a 50MP 5x telephoto lens.
Here’s the kicker: Samsung might be ditching its Exynos models for the S24 Ultra, favouring the power-packed Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the processor instead. This chip is rumoured to be the fastest around, hinting that Samsung’s new flagship could be a speed demon.
Although it’s just certification news, it’s enough to get tech enthusiasts and Samsung fans in India excited about what’s coming their way.
