The trading day has seen a mix of highs and lows on the NIFTY 50 index, with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited leading the pack among the gainers while IndusInd Bank Limited heads the list of laggards.

Emerging as the star performer of the day, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited witnessed a significant price surge of 3.63% to reach ₹402.10, from its previous close at ₹388.00.

Pharmaceutical firm Cipla Limited also had a good day on the stock market, registering a gain of 1.456% to settle at a price of ₹1,271.50 from its last close of ₹1,253.25.

Power Grid Corporation of India and Infosys rounded off the list of top five gainers, with price upticks of 1.268% and 1.306% respectively.

However, it was not all green on the stock market, as IndusInd Bank Limited took a tumble. The bank’s stock fell by 2.107% to ₹1,470.40 from a previous close of ₹1,502.05, making it the biggest loser of the day.

Hindalco Industries also had a tough day, witnessing a price drop of 1.302% to Rs. 500.25 from its last close of ₹506.85.

Kotak Mahindra Bank, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, and Adani Enterprises also found themselves among the top five losers, experiencing price falls of 1.219%, 1.179%, and 1.093% respectively.
