The star of the day was Eicher Motors, leading the pack of gainers in the NIFTY 50 Index. The stock closed at ₹3,848.30, a robust increase of 5.57%, compared to the last closing price of ₹3,645.40.

Close on its heels was Tech Mahindra, ending the trading day at ₹1,173.75, up by 3.75% from its previous closing price of ₹1,131.35. Following the tech giant was Hindalco also put up a strong performance, closing at ₹505.40, marking an increase of 3.67% from its last close of ₹487.50.

Tata Motors and Infosys were also among the top performers, with the automobile major closing at ₹671.55, up 2.80% and the IT behemoth finishing the day at ₹1,410.50, higher by 2.69% from their respective last closing prices.
On the other end of the spectrum, Bajaj Finance led the pack of underperformers, closing at ₹7,224.30, down 1.86% from its previous close. IndusInd Bank and Power Grid Corporation also couldn’t escape the market’s wrath, with the bank closing at ₹1,493.95 and the PSU ending at Rs. 210.15, recording a decrease of 1.04% and 1.01% respectively from their last closing figures.
