On the flip side, Hero was the biggest laggard of the day, slipping 2.16% from its last close to ₹3,105.20. M&M suffered a blow of 1.80%, with its price falling to ₹1,524.10.
Meanwhile, HCL Tech descended 0.95% to trade at ₹1,255.45. Titan also took a hit, down 0.83% at ₹3,256.35. Lastly, Hindalco lost some ground, with a minor dip of 0.65%, closing at ₹481.30.
