Sun Pharma Leads Nifty 50 Gainers As Markets Snap Gaining Streak

Sun Pharma led the gainers as it registered a gain of 1.82%, with its price jumping to ₹1170.95 from the last close of ₹1150.00. The pharmaceutical giant continued to make gains for the fifth straight session.

Axis Bank also saw a notable uptick of over 1.13%, taking its current price to ₹1,020.90, up from the previous close of ₹1,009.40.

BPCL shares climbed 1.79%, moving to ₹372.80 from ₹366.25 at the previous close. Another notable performer was NTPC, which saw an increase of 1.40%, with its price reaching ₹239.15 from the prior close of ₹235.85.

Dr Reddy was another pharma major taking the spot among the Nifty 50 gainers. Shares of the company rose by 1.24%, with its stock price escalating to ₹5,404.35 from ₹5,338.10.

On the flip side, the two-wheeler behemoth Hero Moto Corp experienced a dip of 1.16%, with its price sliding to ₹3,130.25 from ₹3,166.90. Financial services firm Bajaj Finance also faced a setback, with a decrease of 0.88%, bringing its stock to ₹7,495.60 from ₹7,562.05.

Energy sector stalwart Coal India saw its price decrease by 0.73% to ₹314.25, down from the earlier close of ₹316.55.

Similarly, Divis Labs and JSW Steel witnessed marginal declines of 0.72% and 0.72%, respectively, to round off the Nifty 50 losers.
