Stockbroking app Zerodha was experiencing issues with its Kite app and web platform on Monday, not allowing users to easily view and access their holdings, leaving several users distraught.
What Happened: Zerodha’s app was experiencing technical issues in the early hours of trading on Monday. When users tried to view their holdings, they were met with a blank screen and a message that read “Bad Gateway”.
Users complained that they could not view their holdings or positions and were unable to place or execute their bets.

Several users took to X to express their frustration with the app and web portal. Several users also said that the outage may cause them losses as they could not make quick orders.
Zerodha has acknowledged the issue and put out a statement on the matter. “Due to an intermittent issue, some of our users are not able to see executed orders in the orderbook. However, the executed orders are updated on the positions page. We’re working on fixing this,” India’s second-largest stockbroking app said in a tweet on X.
It remains to be seen what the scale of inconvenience users may face from the downtime.
