Samsung is stepping up its game with the introduction of “Auto Blocker,” a new security feature for its Galaxy users. This tool, part of the One UI 6 update, aims to bolster device protection while still allowing users to enjoy the customizations the Galaxy ecosystem offers.

So, what does Auto Blocker do? For starters, it prevents the installation of apps from unverified sources, a practice known as sideloading. While sideloading can be a gateway to more device customizations, it can also expose users to potential threats. Auto Blocker acts as a shield against these risks, especially against deceptive tactics like voice phishing.

But that’s not all. The tool also conducts security checks on apps to spot potential malware and blocks unauthorized software installations that might come through a USB connection. Plus, it beefs up the Message Guard feature, ensuring users are safe from Zero Click attacks, even if they’re using third-party apps.
