According to a tweet by journalist and author Ajeet Bharti, he placed an order at 9:35 p.m., with an expected delivery time of 55 minutes. However, an hour later, the delivery time was extended by an additional 14 minutes. Attempts to get in touch with the delivery person turned out to be futile as the calls allegedly went unanswered.

Following a chat with @SwiggyCares, he was promised a delivery within 15 minutes. However, the wait time was subsequently revised to 16 minutes. After waiting patiently, the customer decided to cook his own meal, despite having had a long day at the hospital for a routine check-up.

Why It Matters: The customer ended up cancelling the order and forfeited ₹1,605 to Swiggy. He expressed his discontentment saying, “I don't seek refund, I just want to put out how messed up and insane these apps have become.” His experience highlights the issues many customers face with food delivery apps, and the lack of accountability when services do not meet expectations.
