One97 Communications Limited, the company behind India’s leading financial services brand Paytm, is preparing to debut its Paytm Pocket Soundbox at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 matches at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
What Happened: Paytm announced a collaboration with Crosta Della outlets to deploy the Paytm Pocket Soundbox. The introduction of this device means spectators can pay for their food directly from their seats during the matches.
The Paytm Pocket Soundbox provides instant audio payment alerts in various languages. This ‘Made in India’ device offers a 5-day battery life, 4G connectivity, and a torch to operate efficiently even in low-light conditions.

The device greatly simplifies digital payments by enabling merchants to accept payments through Paytm UPI, Paytm Wallet, UPI Lite, net banking, and debit and credit cards.
“With this partnership with Crosta Della, we are excited to deploy our latest innovation Paytm Pocket Soundbox to enhance the experience for the live audience,” a Paytm spokesperson said.
The spokesperson further explained that the innovative device allows Crosta Della's food delivery agents to accept payments directly at the stands, ensuring a quick and seamless process for both the customers and the merchant.
