Apple’s latest sensation, the iPhone 15 series, is officially up for pre-orders in India, with the first wave of devices set to reach customers by September 22. However, the buzz around this release is so intense that certain models and configurations are already seeing delivery times pushed back to November on Apple’s online store.
What Happened? Customers can now expect the high-end iPhone 15 Pro Max, particularly in its Blue Titanium and Black Titanium versions, to arrive by the third week of October. Those eyeing the Natural Titanium and White Titanium shades might have to wait until November. Interestingly, these timelines remain consistent across all storage capacities.
The iPhone 15 Pro follows a similar trend, with most variants set for an October delivery. An exception is the 1TB White Titanium model, which will be ready for in-store pick-up on the launch day itself.

As for the standard iPhone 15 and its larger sibling, the iPhone 15 Plus, delivery delays are minimal, with most arriving by early October.
Was this expected? A report by The Information in late July stated that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max might face severe shortages in September due to display production issues.
Per the report Apple is using a new technique for thinner bezels, aiming to beat Xiaomi 13’s 1.81mm record. However, LG, an Apple supplier, has encountered problems with this technique. Foxconn, Apple’s primary assembler, found these issues during quality and reliability tests.
