Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Private Limited has entered a strategic partnership with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe).

What Happened: This strategic collaboration was unveiled by Amazon India, stating its objective to empower space startups, research entities, and students with cutting-edge cloud technologies, thereby aiding in the acceleration of novel solutions in the space sector. The partnership is expected to bolster the rapidly growing Indian space sector.

AWS’s educational offerings on cloud computing, paired with ISRO's profound expertise in space technology, are envisaged to motivate future generations to explore career opportunities in India’s flourishing space sector.

ISRO, IN-SPACe, and AWS are slated to collectively nurture the startup ecosystem in the space-tech sector. AWS, under its AWS Activate program, will extend tools, resources, and expert technical guidance to eligible space startups free of charge.

Additionally, the tripartite alliance will jointly initiate a fresh programme to deliver training in cloud computing, AI, ML, analytics, and security to students and educators, leveraging AWS education programs.
