Tata Play’s streaming service, Tata Play Binge, is upping its game by roping in Apple TV+ to its content roster. This move not only brings Apple TV+’s exclusive series and films to Tata Play Binge but also marks Apple TV’s debut collaboration in India.

What Happened? From smartphones, and gaming consoles, to smart TVs, and the Tata Play Binge+ set-top box, users can now binge-watch Apple TV+ shows across devices.

According to a statement shared with Mint, Pallavi Puri, the chief commercial and content officer of Tata Play, expressed her enthusiasm, highlighting Apple TV+’s premium content. Harit Nagpal, the big boss at Tata Play, hinted at more international content collaborations in the pipeline.

For the uninitiated, Apple TV+ boasts of hits like ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘Foundation’, and original films such as ‘CODA’. Oliver Schusser from Apple Entertainment Services also shared his excitement about reaching Tata Play Binge’s Indian audience.

But wait, there’s more! Tata Play Binge is rolling out a star-studded campaign with Bollywood’s power couple, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, to promote this fresh collaboration.

Why it Matters? This move follows Tata Play’s strategy to make OTT content more accessible, as they opened up their Binge app to all users last year. With the Indian OTT market booming, and set to hit $12.5 billion by 2030, Tata Play’s latest move seems right on the money.
