TCS Firms Up Nordic Presence By Inking Deal With Billion-Dollar Swedish Firm

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been chosen as a strategic partner by Stockholm-based Lantmännen, a firm involved in agriculture, machinery, bioenergy, and food products.

What Happened: Under a multi-year agreement, TCS will assist Lantmännen in transforming its IT infrastructure and delivering digital workplace services. TCS will help Lantmännen’s digital workplace support secure and agile hybrid work.

Additionally, TCS will aim to modernize Lantmännen’s infrastructure, offering round-the-clock business-resilient operations. This partnership capitalizes on TCS’s Nordic presence and its reputation for large-scale digital transformations.

"As a company with 10,000 employees and operations in over 20 countries, we needed a trusted technology partner with proven experience in providing a high standard of IT service delivery at a regional and global level,” said Ove Hansson, chief information officer at Lantmännen.

TCS said in a statement that it has maintained a strong presence in the Nordic region since 1991, serving as a key partner for enterprises in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark.

Sweden's Ikano Bank had in May chosen TCS’ software-as-a-service global banking platform to streamline its fragmented core banking operations and accelerate the launch of new financial services.
