What Happened: PVR INOX theatres nationwide saw an influx of nearly 190 lakh guests in August, generating a gross box office revenue of approximately ₹532 crores. This remarkable achievement was fueled by the overwhelming success of films such as ‘Gadar 2’ (Hindi), ‘Jailer’ (Tamil), ‘OMG2’ (Hindi), and ‘Dreamgirl 2’ (Hindi).

Additionally, movies premiered in July, like ‘Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’ (Hindi) and ‘Oppenheimer’ (English), continued to draw audiences. On India’s 77th Independence Day, 15th August 2023, PVR INOX set another record by welcoming 13 lakh patrons, resulting in a gross box office revenue of around ₹41.4 crores.
