Anil Agarwal, Chairman of the Vedanta Group, recently met with Hollywood superstar Ryan Reynolds, discussing shared values and their mutual passion for child welfare initiatives.
What Happened: In a tweet, Agarwal expressed his admiration for Reynolds, mentioning that he had heard a lot about the actor being one of the nicest people. Upon meeting, Agarwal realised how similar their values were. Reynolds showed a keen interest in Vedanta’s child welfare initiative, Project Nand Ghar.
Agarwal shared his personal experience of facing hunger as a child with Reynolds and expressed his dream that no child in India should go to bed hungry. He introduced Reynolds to Vedanta’s initiative of a specially developed millet nutribar, designed to provide a tasty and healthy supplement for children and combat malnourishment.
Agarwal emphasised the importance of collaborating with global philanthropists, stating that it would bring global expertise to the sector and help create best practices that could influence the world for years to come.
