T M Roh, the head of ‘Mobile Experience’ business at Samsung, revealed in an interview that the company’s goal is to get more users to understand the benefits of foldable smartphones. He highlighted their larger displays, compact folding size, and additional features that can convince users to adopt these devices.

The key strategy: Samsung’s strategy for encouraging users to purchase foldable smartphones involves enhancing their distinctive characteristics. Roh believes that the primary step is to allow potential users to physically experience the devices.

The Korean smartphone giant is currently exploring ways to facilitate this, such as through retail stores or by encouraging existing users to share their experiences.

In addition, Samsung has committed to boosting public awareness about foldable smartphones through active participation in media events and promotions.

Localised focus: To further boost accessibility, Samsung is also running several sales programs in India with their partners, including Samsung Finance+, which makes it easier for customers to purchase these devices. Samsung will continue to work alongside its partners to further this goal, Roh added.
