Fisker, the American electric vehicle (EV) company renowned for creating the world’s first production luxury plug-in hybrid EV, has announced its plan to manufacture 100 units of its all-electric SUV, the Fisker Ocean Extreme Vigyan Edition, specifically for the Indian market.

What Happened? Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO, expressed his excitement about the opportunities in India, following successful launches in Europe and the US. He highlighted the vehicle’s class-leading range and unique features, aiming to rapidly grow the Fisker brand in the Indian market over the coming years.

Fisker established a subsidiary in Hyderabad in 2022, which the newly announced SUV model is named after. The company anticipates the ratification process for the vehicle in India to be completed by September and expects to start deliveries by Q4 2023.
