Tata Digital, the super app operated by Tata Group, is reportedly undergoing a reshuffle in its top ranks as key executives make their exits and new leaders take charge.
What Happened? Shivcharan Pulugurtha, the chief strategy and business officer of Tata Neu, has left the firm after a year’s stint, while Gopal Asthana has been appointed as the CEO of Tata Cliq, the conglomerate’s fashion business under Tata Digital, sources told the Economic Times.
Vikas Purohit, the previous CEO of Tata Cliq, left earlier this year and joined Meta, leading to Asthana’s appointment as his successor. However, the formal announcement of Asthana’s appointment is still pending, the sources said.

Following Pulugurtha’s departure, responsibilities related to planning and strategy at Tata Neu are reportedly being temporarily divided among executives Bhanu Pathak and Shoumyan Biswas.
The ongoing reshuffle in Tata Digital’s executive team is part of the company’s efforts to streamline operations and foster growth after two years of operation. More changes among senior executives are anticipated in the coming weeks, the sources told the business daily, as the company seeks to optimize its leadership structure.
The recent changes in Tata Digital’s leadership come in the wake of Mukesh Bansal, the former president of Tata Digital, reportedly stepping away from the firm. Bansal’s departure has prompted the exit of several key executives who joined the company during his tenure.
Previous reports had highlighted the departure of Prateek Mehta and Sharath Bulusu, while Vinay Choletti, the former head of WhatsApp Pay India, is believed to have joined Tata Digital, although no official announcement has been made yet.
