MG Motors India has secured an order from BluSmart Mobility, a prominent electric vehicle ride-hailing service and charging infrastructure operator, for 500 units of its MG ZS electric SUV.
What Happened? Per an HTAuto report, BluSmart Mobility plans to utilise the ZS electric SUVs for last-mile transportation services. The ZS EV boasts a top-of-the-range 50.3kWH battery, allowing it to cover up to 461km on a single charge.
With a powerful motor delivering a peak power of 176PS, the SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds. It features a prismatic cell battery, providing a high energy density for superior range and longevity.

Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motors India, expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, seeing it as a collective endeavour to hasten the uptake of sustainable transport. He believes the order from BluSmart represents their trust in MG’s commitment to electric mobility and their shared goal of building a strong EV infrastructure in India.
