Wipro is witnessing a series of high-level departures, with two more senior vice presidents leaving the company, specifically the heads of its healthcare and manufacturing units.

What Happened? Per MoneyControl, Mohd Haque, senior vice president and head of the healthcare and medical devices division will exit Wipro in June. Haque, who has served the company for about 13 years, was also the inclusion and diversity lead for the Americas at Wipro.

In addition, Ashish Saxena, senior vice president and head of the manufacturing and hi-tech business unit, is leaving the company after a six-year tenure. Times of India was the first to report this news.

These departures come after Vice President Gurvinder Sahni left Wipro to become the chief marketing officer at Persistent Systems.

These departures take the number of high-level exits at Wipro to at least 14 in less than a year, despite the company’s regular promotions to vice president and senior vice president positions. Notable exits from last year include Douglas Silva, Tomoaki Takeuchi, Sarah Adam-Gedge, Mohammed Areff, and Angan Guha.

So far in 2023, the company has seen the exits of operations head Sanjeev Singh, Nithin V. Jaganmohan, Satya Easwaran, Rajan Kohli, Kamini Shah, along with Sahni, Haque, and Saxena.

Despite these changes, Wipro promoted a record number of 61 people to vice-president positions and 12 to senior vice presidents earlier this year, bringing the total number of vice presidents and senior vice presidents to 275.
