EaseMyTrip shares slumped over 1% in early trade on Monday after the company posted its results for the March quarter.
What Happened: The company’s revenue from operations went up 91% to ₹116.6 crore as compared to the ₹60.86 crore revenue it booked in the same quarter of 2022. Profit for the January-March period stood at ₹31.15 crore up 33.48% from the ₹23.34 crore it booked in the same period last year.
The company’s EBITDA for the review quarter stood at ₹42.43 crore, up 44.39% from the year-ago period. EBITDA margin for the period stood at 36.39%. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at ₹0.18.
The travel tech company’s hotels segment grew by 121% year-over-year to record 1.01 lakh bookings in the review quarter. The air segment volumes increased by 56% YoY to 32.04 lakh. However, trains, buses and other segments saw a 2% YoY dip at 1.77 lakh.
Price Action: EaseMyTrip share price was down 1.17% to trade at ₹46.40 in the early hours of trading on Monday.
