Adani Green Energy is set to generate 1 gigawatt of power solely from wind energy after its unit commissioned a wind power plant in Gujarat’s Kutch (Kachchh).
What Happened? Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five, a subsidiary of the clean energy arm of the Adani Group, has commissioned 130-megawatt wind power plant, the company said in a filing. The plant has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at Rs. 2.83/kWh.
With the new plant, Adani Green can now generate over 1 gigawatt from wind energy alone, while the group’s overall renewable energy capacity has gone over 8.2 gigawatts of power.

The company said the move places its total renewable portfolio on track to reach its 45 gigawatt capacity target by 2030.
Price Action: Adani Green shares dipped 0.19% to ₹968.80 in the early hours of trading on Friday.
