Billionaire Bill Gates on Tuesday met with Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das in RBI’s Mumbai office.
The RBI on Tuesday informed about the meeting between Gates and Das, saying the two held discussions on a wide a range of topics.
“Had an excellent meeting with Bill Gates on financial inclusion, payment systems, microfinance, and digital lending, etc,” Das tweeted.

Gates who is currently visiting the country had last week said that India gives him hope for the future. The Microsoft co-founder is visiting the country for the first time after the pandemic. In a blog post last week Gates was full of praises for the country over its various initiatives ranging from healthcare, sanitation, and financial services.
The billionaire also said that he was visiting the country “to see firsthand the work being done by innovators and entrepreneurs.”
