Shares of Charter Communications, Inc. CHTR rose during Friday's session after the company reported better-than-expected fourth-quarter financial results.

Charter Communications reported fiscal fourth-quarter 2024 revenue growth of 1.6% year-on-year to $13.93 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $13.88 billion. EPS of $10.10 beat the analyst consensus estimate of $9.22.

Charter Communications shares jumped 5.4% to $354.63 on Friday.

• Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated VRTX rose 5.8% to $463.83 after the company announced it secured FDA approval for JOURNAVX. Also, the company announced a reimbursement agreement with NHS England for eligible sickle cell disease patients to access CASGEVY.
• Baker Hughes Company BKR gained 4.6% to $46.68 following upbeat earnings.
