Google+ Product Manager Christian Oestlien updated the world on how Google+ will handle business profiles Thursday. Oestlien said that the original plan of selecting a certain businesses for test profiles has been scrapped and that Google will open up business profiles for everyone in the "next few months."

Google strongly recommends that businesses wanting a Google+ profile to select someone to represent the company using the regular consumer profile and act has him-or-herself. Google also asks businesses not to create profiles using the regular consumer profiles on the website.

Oestlien said that currently the Google+ platform isn't ready for business use and the it will come soon. "Doing it right is worth the wait," said Oestlien. 

Google will continue to disable profiles that currently use regular profiles as a business profile.
