Reliance‘s Jio network suffered an outage on Tuesday, leaving several users in a fix. Many customers across various locations in India complained of disruptions with most reports from Mumbai.
What Happened: Users complained of Jio’s services being disrupted, with mobile network reception and Jio AirFibre being impacted. Customers took to social media platform X to complain of the interruptions after it widely affected employees working from home.
According to Downdetector, an online website that tracks outages, services were first hit at around 11 a.m., with 125 complaints. At around 12 noon, this escalated to more than 10,000 reports of outages.

At the time of reporting, 67% complained of not receiving mobile signal, 19% reported issues with mobile internet and 14% of them were facing interruptions with JioFibre.
Airtel and Vodafone Idea also faced slight disruptions with customers reporting 138 and 37 cases, respectively, for the networks. While the service interruptions have caused significant frustration for users, it has also sparked a meme fest online.
50% of Airtel users faced issues with their mobile internet, while 48% of Vodafone Idea users were unable to receive mobile signal.
The cause of the outages is not yet known and none of the companies have issued any official statement so far.
Price Action: Airtel’s shares were up 1.30% to ₹1,656.75 whereas Vodafone Idea was trading flat at ₹13.22.
